Changes...

Just working on a few changes to the blog right now... My new website is JUST about ready to be viewed, but we have a few technical issues to deal with before it's just right. It should be up and running REALLY soon. I'm SO excited I CAN'T wait!!! I've been working really hard on it and it's undergone several edits already. But you'll see for yourself soon enough!

McGouran Family

Well, I have been home for more then a MONTH now!!! I love it! I'm still working on making major changes to my website and everything right now. But I had these photos that I was planning to post the beginning of this week and I'm just now getting them posted. It's been pretty busy around here.

Family Photo-shoot

On Thanksgiving morning I had a photo-shoot with this family I've known for a long time. It was fun getting to see them again and catch up a little bit. The only downside to the photo-shoot was that it was freezing outside!!! I have to give them a lot of credit for being so tough when we went outside for a little while for a few shots. With these photos I thought that I would try out a few different editing techniques that I thought would look great with these. Since then I've had a few other family shoots that I'll be posting later on.

Back in the groove

Wow! I can't believe I've already been back home for more then two weeks!!! This family God's given me is so amazing! It's just so great being back home and a part of the mix going on here. Having been gone 5 months, it makes me glad that I wasn't gone for any longer. Everyone was pretty excited about me coming home, but my Mom was super super excited. Not only have I come back more thankful then ever for my family, friends and country. But I'm a much more traveled person and more confident because of it. God was faithful in keeping His promise to me (as a believer) that He would never leave me even though it was quite tough with the homesickness for the first part of my trip. I will forever be changed by what He has done in my life through all the things that happened and all the wonderful people I met.

In choosing these pictures I had little bit of trouble since I had SO many. But I really wanted to give you a variety in the scenery I got to see. So I'm posting a few photos of the small town of Portland, Vic. Then Melbourne and of course you'll recognize the amazingly beautiful Sydney Opera House. It was spectacular with all the beautiful lights at night. The skylines are of Melbourne.

I did several photo-shoots while in Thailand and Australia but I'm currently in the process of re-doing my website and everything. So I might just leave those as a surprise for you when you check out the new website which will hopefully be done by at least the end of 2007.

Just to let you know that right now is a prime time to book a session for seniors or family, especially if you want to get in on my 2007 prices before I raise them at the beginning of 2008.

Count down!

I totally realize how negligent I've been the past 2 months on this blog!!! Can't say that I haven't wanted to, but I've hardly had a chance to get internet on my laptop. And I've been REALLY busy since I got to Australia! Obviously I couldn't leave Australia without posting at least once. Thanks to Sarah Barlow for reminding me to get it done! :) I have TONS of photos to post, but I won't be able to do that until I get back home... But I only have one week and three days until I'm back on U.S soil!!! I couldn't be more excited to come back home. Not that I haven't absolutely loved my time here in Australia, but it's just short of FIVE months since I've been gone. God has done absolutely AMAZING things for me and I won't be coming back quite the same person.

Right now I'm posting from Sydney. The first three weeks I spent in Portland, Vic. That was an incredible time. Made lots of awesome friends. Hopefully some of them will visit me when I get back home. Then I spent 2 1/2 weeks in Melbourne. That was lots of fun. Rachel Black my "adopted" sister, arrived in Melbourne on the 10th of Oct. So I've been lovin' having her here to explore the other side of the world with. And we've been catching up with each-other. It's SO great having her here. Anyway, we're just spending a few days here in Sydney, then we travel by train back to Melbourne. We find that we miss Melbourne's slower pace. We're staying with some students who're going to Hillsong college. They're just amazing girls! Two of them are from California and the other two are from here in Australia. And we also got to visit a friend who used to live in Duncan. Sunday we went to three of Hillsong's services. They were really good. But we were rather sad that none of the Hillsong United band members were there. Oh well. I think they were touring.

So if anyone is interested in a photo-shoot with the beautiful fall weather and colors, try to figure out a date and send me an email or give me a call when I get back. If possible, please try to book at least 2 weeks in advance.

G'day mates!

Not the same

This is my last post from Thailand. Tomorrow I leave for Melbourne, Australia!!! It's unbelievable to me that time has flown by SO fast these past 3 months!!! I wouldn't trade this time I had here for anything! Not only have I had a wonderful time, God has taught me SO much and my relationship with Him is more awesome. I know some of you may not be Christians. But my relationship with my saviour Jesus Christ is what makes my life worth living. And without Him I wouldn't have had the amazing opportunities and experiences that I have had. He has given me a love for photography, which I am continually trying to become more skilled at. I am just so incredible blessed to be doing what I love.

The friendships I've made here have been great! I look forward to keeping them up. Anyway, since a post isn't complete without a picture I thought I'd post this one of a Irish girl I had a photo-shoot with last week. Isn't she gorgeous?

Next post will be from Australia! :) Don't know when it will be though. Not sure when I'll get access to the internet. Until then! God Bless!
